Am 03. Oktober 2023 ist Designerin und Designforscherin Johanna Schmeer an den «Designperspektiven» zu Gast. Sie wird ihre Designprojekte und Forschung im Bereich des diskursiven Designs vorstellen sowie über ihre Arbeit im Space for Sustainability by Design (SBYD.SPACE) sprechen, einer experimentellen Designplattform, die sich mit zirkulären und transversalen Designansätzen befasst.

Johanna Schmeer ist Designerin und Designforscherin und lebt in Berlin. Sie ist Professorin für Design for Interaction and Inquiry an der Folkwang Universität der Künste, wo sie den Space for Sustainability by Design (SBYD.SPACE) leitet. Sie hat einen Abschluss in Digitalen Medien von der Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK) sowie einen Master- und Doktorgrad vom Royal College of Art London. Ihre Arbeit wurde international veröffentlicht, ausgezeichnet und ausgestellt, unter anderem im Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, im Nationalmuseum Stockholm und auf der Biennale in Venedig.

Die Veranstaltung findet am Dienstag, 03. Oktober 2023 um 17:00 Uhr im Viaduktraum 2.A05 im Toni Areal statt.
Der Eintritt ist kostenfrei.

Die Veranstaltungsreihe «Designperspektiven» bietet Interessierten professionelle Einblicke in die Designpraxis und verdeutlicht Schwerpunkte angrenzender Fachbereiche, die das Industriedesign beeinflussen.

On 03 October 2023, designer and design researcher Johanna Schmeer will be a guest at the "Design Perspectives". She will introduce her design and research projects in discursive design, as well as discuss her work at the Space for Sustainability by Design (SBYD.SPACE), an experimental design platform that fosters circular and transversal design approaches.

Johanna Schmeer is a designer and researcher based in Berlin. She is a Professor of Design for Interaction and Inquiry at Folkwang University of the Arts, where she directs the Space for Sustainability by Design (SBYD.SPACE). She holds a degree in Digital Media from the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK) and an MA and PhD from the Royal College of Art London. Her work has been published, awarded, and exhibited internationally, including at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, the National Museum Stockholm, and the Venice Biennale of Architecture.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 03 October 2023 at 17:00 in the Viaduktraum 2.A05 in the Toni Areal.
