Tools for Reflection I
This foundational module invites students to present their design backgrounds and research interests, setting the stage for the MA Industrial Design journey. Through seminar discussions, field trips, and collaborative activities, students will broaden their conceptual understanding and explore research-driven design practices. The primary goal is to cultivate an open, critical, and proactive approach to both individual design and research processes, fostering a mindset that balances exploration with rigour.
By engaging with diverse contexts and design perspectives, students will differentiate between application-oriented and critical design approaches, enriching their repertoire of methodologies and conceptual frameworks. This module lays essential groundwork for the development of the Master's thesis project, encouraging students to reflect on and refine their personal design approach.
