Tools for Reflection II
Building on the foundation laid in the first semester, this module aims to further broaden students’ conceptual perspectives, research-based design approaches, and the contexts in which design practices operate. The focus is on cultivating an open, critical, and proactive attitude towards each student’s individual design and research practice, fostering a mindset that challenges assumptions and encourages exploration.
Throughout the module, students are guided to adopt an exploratory and reflective approach, learning to distinguish between application-oriented and critical design methodologies. They also work to expand their repertoire of perspectives, attitudes, and methods relevant to contemporary design challenges. As part of the preparation for their Master's thesis project, students refine their ability to navigate complex design contexts with both creative and critical insight.
